I'm back! And hoping to win a DT spot with Simply Stampin Challenge!

After having such a hectic busy summer,  I am back.  I am now on track with a new fresh start to my blog and to my loyal customers and friends!  Thank you so much for being patient with me!

In this blog I have talked about Linda Schneider.  Today is the 1 year anniversary of her death.  I miss her so very much and think about her everyday.  I am hosting a "Tribute to Linda" stamp party tonight.  We will work on Halloween and Autumn projects, that was Linda's favorite.

I think Linda would have been delighted with the information below,  I hope you are too!

My BFF, Lisa, has asked me to consider being a part of a DT.  I have designed the following card using the Simply Stampin Challenge, Challenge #26.

The challenge was to use these colors:

Father's Day Cards...

Hello Bloggers!

Here are the latest cards I've done and a link to the inspiration site I found them on. Its Father Day themed!  Let me know if you like them!

My Card:

I got the inspiration from LeAnne Pugliese.  Her card is below:

My next picture is the one sent to my father-in-law:

I ran tin foil through the Big Shot with an embossing folder for the metal toolbox effect.

I got my inspiration from Laura Thorpe. Her picture is below:

The WORLDS GREATEST DAD card I came up with myself.  I love it! I sent this one to my dad!

This next card is from a stray stamp I found in Linda's stash of stamps.  I hope to one day realize that its all mine now, and not keep referring it to as "Linda's Stuff".

The card below is not quite finished.  I would love any suggestions to finish it though!

I got the inspiration for this card from Nelia Harper.  Her picture and link to her blog are below:

Thank you so much for taking the time to look.  It's been fun creating.  I have more stuff to post tomorrow!

Thoughtfulness of a Teenager...

Hello everyone!  I'm back and hopefully on top of things once again.

I wanted to share a story with you.  It is about my oldest son, Derek, who is 15.

Derek has been struggling all school year with his Geometry class. (Mostly cause he doesn't turn in his work on time :o( ).  He really enjoys his teacher, Mr. Franta.  Mr. Franta is very nice and a great teacher.  He has been struggling with his wife's illness all year long.  About 3 weeks before school ended, Mr. Franta's wife died.
Derek was soooo concerned about him and wanted to show that he cared.  Derek asked me to make a sympathy card for him.  I did so and I think it turned out nice.  Especially, since its my first Sympathy card.

Derek made up a batch of brownies and took them and the card to Mr. Franta.  Mr. Franta was surprised to say the least.  This school year finally ended 2 days ago.  I went to pick Derek up because he had plants for me.

Mr. Franta gave Derek 3 Spider Plants.  I will take pictures of before and after.  These poor plants are in deseperate need of repotting!  I was happy to get these.  I plan to nurture them back to health,  and when I do I will be reminded of how kind my son is towards others,

Here is the card below.  I brayered 3 different colors (peach parfait, daffodil delight, and melon mambo).  I masked the sun and the hills.  I left a little white shining behind the sun for added effect.  I am super happy with how it came out.

Thanks for reading my story and looking at my pictures!

Pocket Cards!

For the Stamp Club's last Show and Tell until August, I made these cards for the ladies.  I got the pocket card with insert idea from Andrea Walford page.http://www.andreawalford.com/

I used Sweet Pea DSP from the stash of Linda's.

Speaking of Linda, today is her birthday.  She would have been 64.  I miss her everyday!
I will update her corner tomorrow.

The design is the same but I used different combinations of colors, ribbon, flowers, and brads!

Here are the photos:

I sent the one below to my mom in Colorado for Mother's Day!

Part 2 of Quilt Cards

I am slowly making progress with my quilt cards!  Below is the next one in my series for my SAS. I used Delicate Dots from a previous year's Sale A Bration,  and Certainly Celery.  I daubed the flower in two different inks to get the two toned effect.  I like how it turned out!

Lisa is waiting on me to come up with the BFF Challenge 9 and I'm  at a loss.  I would love to hear your suggestions!

Feel free to leave me a comment, it really makes my day!
