Part 2 of Quilt Cards

I am slowly making progress with my quilt cards!  Below is the next one in my series for my SAS. I used Delicate Dots from a previous year's Sale A Bration,  and Certainly Celery.  I daubed the flower in two different inks to get the two toned effect.  I like how it turned out!

Lisa is waiting on me to come up with the BFF Challenge 9 and I'm  at a loss.  I would love to hear your suggestions!

Feel free to leave me a comment, it really makes my day!

Quilt Cards

I am in the process of  trying to get my Quilt Stamp A Stack put together.  I have had to postpone it several times due to illness, appts, and family events.  Here is a card that I have worked on for 2 days (between doing laundry and other domestic duties :o) ).  I got the inspiration for this card from Linda's Elegant Soiree DSP I have now.

I found a card using this paper and included the picture and link below to see the original. It was nice to see the way she used these different techniques! cards

Please leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you!

Camera cord mystery resolved and other randomness...

Hellooooo everyone!  I hope your Easter weekend was full of fun and happiness!  My bff, Lisa, left today to go back home.  I miss her so much already!  Britany and Brendan (Lisa's teens) are soooo much fun.   Our kids have grown up together and are like siblings.

Good news!  I cleaned and sorted through all of my area and FINALLY found my camera cord!  I'm so excited!  It's the little things, ya know?  Anyway, I am posting the results from the next BFF Challenge.  Lisa had me combine two sketches and combine them.  Let me know whatcha think!

Also, I am updating Linda's Creative Corner!  This card is simply fun, fun, fun.  Linda took a punch art class Chanda Stehlik and the designs are hers. (Chanda Stehlik).  You can find the card  here:

Thanks for stopping by!  I am doing quilt cards next!

Happy Stamping!

Lisa was in charge of this weeks' challenge!  Here are her instructions:
Go to Lily Pad at the link below and watch the video and see the "movement" and "layering" concept.
Then, go to Papertake and check out their challenge with spots and stripes at
 Papertake Weekly Challenge
Incorporate the two into a card using whatever elements you want to.
Here is what I came up with:

Birthday Card for Miss Molly

In my spouses group that I am involved with (Offutt Enlisted Spouses Club or OESC), I am the "Sunshine Chairperson".  That involves taking care of flowers if a member is in the hospital, etc.  I also hand make a birthday card and send it to each member on their birthday.  I really enjoy doing this and being part of this fantastic group.  You can learn more about it here:

Molly is one of two members in the OESC that have mentored me during my leadership role.  Her birthday is on Friday, April 22nd.  Below is the card I made for her.

With that said; I still haven't found my cord to my nice camera.  Bear with me with the pictures!

Enjoy and Happy Stampin'

I used the flower stamp I found thrown in Linda's things.  I do not know what set it belongs to.  I used  watercolor crayons and colored the stamp, then misted it and stamped the image on white cardstock.  I sponge daubed retired barely banana ove the image.  I had a mat that I ran through the big shot with an embossing folder. I used the Stampin Pastels to color the mat to finish it off.  I used Beautiful Wings for the butterflies. I used Chantilly 1/2'' Stampin UP! ribbon.  I  hope you like it!

HELLO BLOGGERS!  Its been a week since I've posted and I'm sooooo sorry!  Tax time is busy for me this year.  This was the first year to claim my Stampin' UP! business.  Thank goodness too, it saved us from owing anything to Uncle Sam this year, WHEW!  With that finished, I can turn my focus to my spring time events!

I absolutely love to see the trees budding, the grass growing, and the birds chirping.  I don't particularly care for the bugs and crawlie things.

I plan to make some quilt cards for my upcoming Stamp A Stack event.  I also have the BFF Challenge that Lisa sent me today.  I have several birthdays coming up, so I need to crank out some Spring Time Bday Cards!  My mom, dad, sister, uncle, and friend have their Birthdays on April 24th.  It falls on Easter this year, so I better get to it!

Lisa is coming to visit this weekend from Missouri and I can't wait.  I'm so thankful she is only 4 hours away from me.  We plan on cooking, stamping, easter egg hunting with the teenagers, hair coloring, stampin, stampin, and hopefully more stampin.

I will leave you with a picture of a card.  I will try and post again later today!

Happy Stampin!

Camera Issues...

Grrrrrr.   I am STILL looking for my power cord for my awesome posting everyday has not worked out this week.  I am hoping to find it by this weekend.  If I don't, I am going to order another one.  I still have my Canon camera, so I will try to take good "enough" pictures of the projects I need to post. Bear with me, please!

Happy Stampin!

It was my turn to pick the challenge this time and what a challenge it was.  I almost gave up.  I threw a bit of a tantrum and tossed my brads across the room.  Then when I finished I took pictures WITHOUT my SD card in my camera.  It wasn't a big deal, the camera has internal memory.  BUT...I can't find the cord to upload them.  Well I put the SD card into the camera ONLY to have the darn thing die on me. SO...after all that I used my old camera and got the pictures done.  Needless to say, it doesn't do the job that my new camera does, but its done.

Here are the rules for our BFF Challenge:
1. You must use 3D dimensions.
2.  Use 3 colors of ribbon
3.  Use Brads or Eyelets
4.  Any color combo is fine
5.  Use an Embossing Folder (Mine was used on the water in the jar)
6.  Sentiment on the front of the card

The tutorial that I followed was from Splitcoaststampers and here is the link.

I am in love with one of Linda's cards.  I am not sure if she came up with it on her own or if she saw it done at a class around here in the Bellevue/Omaha area.

So....... IF this is your design, please let me know so I can give you credit for this awesome critter!  I will post Linda's picture first and then the one I created.  Both cards are quite similar!  I know Linda is looking down from Heaven and enjoying this!
I will also post it in "LINDA'S CREATIVE CORNER"...
Let me know what you think and thanks for looking!

and here is my card:

I added some embellishments and used my own handmade template to make Bashful Blue Clouds on a Whisper White background! I will show you the cloud template in the next post!

My printer broke, SO at the last minute I just hand wrote the sentiment.  I was in a rush to get it out to a friend of mine for her birthday!  Needless to say, I went out last night and bought a new printer!

BFF's Stampin' Corner Challenge 6

Welcome back to the BFF challenge.

Here are the rules that Lisa decided on...

*  Choose a focal shape to adhere above this that is designed using the Tile Technique
*  The image must be stamped in black and white
* One and only one portion of the stamped image must be highlighted in color and double layered.
*  Any hardware or embellishments may be used
