Butterfly Pansies

Hello bloggers!

I made this card last week for my Spring SAS.  I got this card idea from Margaret Cook.  I do not have a link for her, but I can show you my picture and hers!

MY card!  I hope you like it!  It was fun to make!

Here is the inspiration card I used!

Thoughtfulness of a Teenager...

Hello everyone!  I'm back and hopefully on top of things once again.

I wanted to share a story with you.  It is about my oldest son, Derek, who is 15.

Derek has been struggling all school year with his Geometry class. (Mostly cause he doesn't turn in his work on time :o( ).  He really enjoys his teacher, Mr. Franta.  Mr. Franta is very nice and a great teacher.  He has been struggling with his wife's illness all year long.  About 3 weeks before school ended, Mr. Franta's wife died.
Derek was soooo concerned about him and wanted to show that he cared.  Derek asked me to make a sympathy card for him.  I did so and I think it turned out nice.  Especially, since its my first Sympathy card.

Derek made up a batch of brownies and took them and the card to Mr. Franta.  Mr. Franta was surprised to say the least.  This school year finally ended 2 days ago.  I went to pick Derek up because he had plants for me.

Mr. Franta gave Derek 3 Spider Plants.  I will take pictures of before and after.  These poor plants are in deseperate need of repotting!  I was happy to get these.  I plan to nurture them back to health,  and when I do I will be reminded of how kind my son is towards others,

Here is the card below.  I brayered 3 different colors (peach parfait, daffodil delight, and melon mambo).  I masked the sun and the hills.  I left a little white shining behind the sun for added effect.  I am super happy with how it came out.

Thanks for reading my story and looking at my pictures!

Pocket Cards!

For the Stamp Club's last Show and Tell until August, I made these cards for the ladies.  I got the pocket card with insert idea from Andrea Walford page.

I used Sweet Pea DSP from the stash of Linda's.

Speaking of Linda, today is her birthday.  She would have been 64.  I miss her everyday!
I will update her corner tomorrow.

The design is the same but I used different combinations of colors, ribbon, flowers, and brads!

Here are the photos:

I sent the one below to my mom in Colorado for Mother's Day!
